Key Areas of Assistance

Wills, Power of Attorney and Living Wills

DVLS and Delaware Civil Clinic students draft wills for the elderly and terminally ill provided individuals fall within the federal poverty guidelines. Students and / or attorneys often will make house calls or visit clients in the hospital. 

Guardianships

DVLS has volunteer attorneys to act as guardian ad litem attorneys for individuals who are incompetent. A letter from a doctor is required prior to case acceptance stating that the infirmed is incompetent. DVLS also has attorneys willing to represent the interest of the guardian. All parties must fall within the Federal Poverty level.
